The Noosa Long Weekend Festival is 10 days and nights of arts, literature, forums, food and fun in intimate venues around Noosa.
The program has been released and is packed with music, dance, theatre, cabaret, film, food, burlesque, literature, a festival of thought, events for the kids, workshops and new features including Locale After Dark and an opening Carnivale parade.
Head to Noosa for a winter escape where talented performers from around Australia and overseas will deliver hot entertainment to warm up the nights, celebrating the festival's 15th year.
Internationally celebrated Queen of Cabaret, Meow Meow, direct from her critically acclaimed appearance as Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Shakespeare’s Globe theatre in London, opens the festival events. Queensland Ballet also returns this year with a program that includes contemporary and neo-classical ballets.
The Hastings Street Carnivale parade will see street musicians, performers, stilt walkers, jugglers, dancing girls and an abundance of feathers moving along the famous retail and dining strip, finishing on Noosa Beach with a spectacular twilight skydiving display where Super Heroes land on the beach.
Locale After Dark brings nightly impromptu pop-up experiences from festival performers who will also be dining and/or drinking at Noosa restaurants each night.
