Hunter and I managed to get the kayak wet off Coolum Beach, Sunshine Coast yesterday. We started off from Stumers Creek and paddled south towards Point Perry.
The water was fairly clear and there was just a gentle breeze blowing, to remind us it was supposedly winter. We were hoping to catch sight of some whales as they pass by Coolum Beach as reported by Gaye from The Shop earlier in the day. We didn't have much luck with the whales but we did see a turtle as we paddled pass Point Perry.
It was an excellent afternoon out on the water, with Hunter already planning our next trip out into the deep blue.
No whales unfortunately, but it was great to be out on the water on such a beautiful day
